Farragut Intermediate School is a large elementary school encompassing grades 3-5. Current enrollment is 1100 and the student to teacher ratio in third grade is 20:1, while fourth and fifth is 24:1. FIS faculty and staff strive to make learning fun while providing a safe and productive environment. Our efforts have be recognized by many agencies and organizations. A few are highlighted below:

Accomplishments for student achievement during the 2005-2006 school year include making AYP (Average Yearly Progress) both directly and with projections. In February 2006, 86.4% of our students scored proficient or higher on the TCAP. Overall, we are ranked third in the county for reading proficiency using a three-year average. And finally, our Value-Added Report shows the following grades:
